One week until DEMONS WILL BE DEMONS releases! I can’t tell you how excited Misha is that his story will finally be told. This week, I’ll post a couple times to share some more about the book (with Misha’s help, of course).
Today, Misha asked me for a book trailer. Since Misha is a TV and movie junkie, that really shouldn’t surprise you. He has been telling everyone that he is now a movie star. A bit of an exaggeration, but Misha will be Misha…
Check out the trailer below or click HERE. It’s thirty seconds…come on…you know you want to. Misha would really appreciate it!
Hello my friends! I’m excited to let you know that DEMONS ARE FOREVER, book three in the Realm trilogy is now available for preorder! Yahoo! You can click HERE for more information.
In the meantime, to celebrate all three brothers up for preorder, I have created a little video…yes, this writer has dreams of being a director. And since Hollywood hasn’t called me yet, I’ll keep making these videos to celebrate my books.
Check it out below, or click HERE to watch 60 seconds of fun!
Years ago (actually decades ago) I can remember several commercials showing ketchup pouring oh so slowly out of the bottle as Carly Simon sang Anticipation. And that song has been playing repeatedly in my head today.
Maybe it’s because I am so excited that next Monday is COVER REVEAL day. And here is a little secret for you. I can’t wait to show you the covers to my new trilogy coming this fall. I am so excited about it, that I will be giving you a cover reveal for the entire Realm Series. Which means you will see not one, not two, but THREE covers next week.
Yay! There will also be a Realm cover reveal video and a teaser too. Icing on that awesome cake, right?
I have found over the years that for me the excitement of gift giving is not when I receive something, but when I get to watch my friends and family unwrap something from me. And this same emotion carries over in my writing to my readers. So next week, you get to see the covers for the first time. Misha, Aleksei, and Sergei can’t wait to meet you!
My previous two blogs showcased a teaser from Misha and Aleksei’s upcoming books in my new Realm series. So you shouldn’t be shocked to learn that Sergei, the youngest brother of the demon trio wants his turn too.
Each brother have hurdles to overcome before finding their special someone. And don’t think their mates will let them get off easy. Heck no! That’s what makes the journey so wonderful.
So here goes… Sergei
So my characters have been talking to me. They want to know why I’m not sharing their stories yet with you. I have tried to explain that publishing is a process. There are edits, proofreads, covers, formatting, etc. And this takes time. Fall will be here before we know it and their stories will be in your hands.
But here’s the thing. My trio of heroes are impatient, alpha demons. So as a compromise, I’m going to share a couple lines from Misha’s book tonight since he can’t wait for you all to get a taste. And then I’m sure Aleksei and Sergei will weigh in on this battle of wills and want quotes from their stories as well.
All in due time, right?
So here goes…
Looks like Misha’s got himself into a pickle, huh? We’ll just have to see how things play out. If I know Misha, he’ll work it out with the help of his family and friends.
Did I get your attention with the title, my friends? You would think that the less words a writer has to write, the easier things would be, right?
I’m here to disagree. Sometimes the EASIEST thing to write is the novel itself. Thousands upon thousands of words that come out and develop into a story. What becomes difficult is when you are trying to write less to describe more.
What do I mean? There is the book blurb, also known as the back cover copy. A couple of paragraphs to reflect mood, plot, characters, etc. Not an easy task for sure and I have bemoaned blurb writing in past blogs. Today I am going to talk about something even shorter in the word department, but not easier.
What is it? Drum roll please …….
Yep, imagine writing a book and then sitting down and trying to determine in five words or less what you are going to call it. Many of my book titles are two words. Oh, the pain.
With my new trilogy, I have been having an extremely hard time finding titles that fit. That make me say “That’s it!”
First, I started with using the brothers’ names as titles. Then I decided that didn’t work and went on to two word titles – dozens and dozens of two word titles that I played with and that needed to coordinate since I have to come up with three titles.
Now I have graduated to titles that are phrases, and I’m finally close to finalizing them! A lot of work, for sure. But when I release these stories into the world, the title (or bow) has to top the wrapping (or cover).
How else will I entice people to rip it open, and dive inside?
I’ve come to the conclusion that I’m a dreamer. I can’t remember a time where my imagination didn’t have me hatching stories in my head. It started as a child, reading stories and imagining what other things could happen to the characters. Then as I grew it morphed into TV shows and movies. I often wonder “what if”. What if the 90 minute movie continued on? What if the main character in my favorite show did this instead of what happened in the episode I just watched?
A lot of people are dreamers, what makes me different is that I’ve decided to write them down. Take the imagination that is churning most of the time in my head and give it a healthy outlet through my stories and characters. Characters that at certain moments I actually hear in my head.
Right now, with writing in Misha’s world, I am hearing a lot of Russian accents and belly laughs. In the very least my imagination provides comic relief.
There’s something necessary about dreaming of worlds were good defeats evil and love triumphs. Why not share those dreams with others?
Yep, I’m a dreamer. And I don’t think that will change anytime soon.
Yay!!! It is finally here. TO HAVE AND TO HOWL is heading out into the world. I am so excited to share the next book in this fun series with you.
The book has some twists and turns in it, which made it fun to write. Julia is an amazing heroine because she is trying to allow her heart to open again to the possibility of love. And Jack, well he is a great hero. I usually have a crush on all the heroes I write, but there is something special about Jack. And of course, his twin Connor plays a huge role in this book too. The brothers may look alike, but boy, do they have different personalities!
As usual, I am spending time celebrating my newest release as a kickbutt writer princess should – with my tiara securely perched on my head! Here is my newest release day pick…but I have to warn you that this is what happens when you have cats and you try to take a selfie!!
Order: Amazon ibooks Kobo B&N
Tomorrow is TO HAVE AND TO HOWL’s release day. Here is the last video teaser. Enjoy…
Hello my friends! As promised, I will be posting each day this week to celebrate TO HAVE AND TO HOWL releasing next Monday the 13th!
Here is the first video teaser! Since Julia is a lawyer, I thought it would be fun to discuss what it means to practice paranormal law 🙂
There will be 5 in all and a couple graphic teasers later this week as well.
So spend 30 seconds and have some fun!
